Golf Australia magazine is proud to shine an even brighter spotlight on the women's game, with the introduction of a dedicated Women's section, a new feature which made its debut in our July 2026 issue and returns in the newly released August edition.
The section has already been warmly received by readers and reflects the remarkable growth, success and depth of women's golf in Australia and around the world. It will also prove to be a great companion to our online WOMEN'S GOLF HUB which has been an exciting news site covering the women's game for a long time.
Importantly, this isn't about separating women's golf from the rest of the magazine. Women's golf has always been, and will continue to be, woven throughout Golf Australia, appearing across our news, features, instruction, travel, equipment and tournament coverage. Instead, the dedicated section provides another platform to celebrate the people, performances and stories that deserve even greater attention.
Our aim is simple: to showcase the very best of Australian women's golf while also highlighting the personalities, achievements and inspiring journeys that continue to shape the game. From major championship contenders and rising stars to legends of the sport, industry leaders and fascinating off-course stories, the section is designed to become a regular destination for readers who want to follow the ever-evolving women's game.
We launched the new section in July with a diverse collection of features which captured the breadth of modern women's golf. Readers revisited Hazeltine National ahead of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, reflecting on one of golf's most iconic venues and Hannah Green's memorable breakthrough major victory. Television personality and entrepreneur Deborah Hutton shared the story behind Canopy Bay, the stylish sun-protection brand born from a personal health scare and a lifelong love of the outdoors. We also celebrated one of Australia's greatest sporting icons, Karrie Webb, marking 25 years since completing her Career Grand Slam by revisiting the seven major victories that secured her place among the game's immortals.
