Adam Scott has today won the jewel in Australia’s Summer of Golf across the unique two-day format at the breathtaking Cathedral Lodge and Golf Club.
Finishing with a total of 129 and 15 under par, he successfully backed up his previous victory of the Cathedral Invitational in 2023.
Ben Henkel stormed home with a tournament course record earlier in the day to finish equal second overall with Marc Leishman at 11 under par.
Yesterday’s star performer, Daniel Gale, who had tied with Scott and Leishman, just slipped away in the competitive field to finish equal 4th with Cameron John.
Crowds of over 3000 rolled in from across Victoria and Australia today to watch Australia’s top male and female golfers at the 300-acre Cathedral Lodge and Golf Club.
The event’s final day is the only time the course’s gates are opened to the public, and spectators enjoyed both the relaxed atmosphere and the incredible access in Victoria’s High Country.
The 2025 Cathedral Invitational Champion, Adam Scott, said, “Going out there today with a chance to win was fun. Daniel and Marc were playing really well, but I managed to play a nice back 9 and get it done.
“This course is tricky, and even though I’ve won here before, I’m still learning little nuances here and there.
“It’s been a fun couple of days, and I’m learning more and more about the place. I just love being out here.”
