The combination of advanced Srixon flight technologies built into the head and shaft results in an increase of 4.8 yards over the previous model. Golfers can swing hard and enjoy a highly stable trajectory with minimal vertical and horizontal variance. These drivers are for golfers who want to hit the ball aggressively while enjoying confidence at address.

To match individual golfers’ play style and course management, the Z Series lineup includes the Z565 (pictured right) and Z765 (pictured bottom).

Dunlop Sports (headquarters of Srixon Sports) designed the new Z Series drivers to combine a greater sweetspot with a lower centre of gravity (CG). The new ‘Power Wave Sole’ features an advanced multi-step design and allows the whole sole to flex. This means there is no need to increase the thickness of any particular area of the sole, which helps maintain a lower CG and promotes reduced spin off the tee.

The new ‘Stretch Flex Cup Face’ has also been extended further around the lightweight crown and sole, which has increased the size of the high coefficient of restitution (COR) area by expanding the sole and crown flares of the cup face. “Stretching” the face more than the previous model to improve off-centre impact distance over a greater area.

The new lightweight crown promotes higher clubhead moment of inertia and lower centre of gravity. To achieve this, Srixon removed about four grams from the crown and strategically repositioned the surplus mass to enhance clubhead MOI, which increases directional control. At the same time, the centre of gravity is lowered, promoting less spin off the tee.

The drivers are fitted with the newly developed Miyazaki Kaula shaft, which features a new stiffness distribution that is softer on both butt and tip sides than the previous generation Miyazaki Kosuma shaft. The result is a shaft with a directional stability and an easy launch.

The new Srixon Z Series drivers are available in retail outlets from September 24.

RRP: $559 (fitted with Miyazaki Kaula shaft).
