It's a fairytale for JJ Spaun at Oakmont. Birdie-birdie finish by the American to be the deserving champion of the U.S Open. Robert MacIntyre of Scotland finishes second. Below is our coverage of Championship Sunday as it happened.
10:10 am: HE MAKES IT! JJ Spaun has won the U.S Open in dramatic fashion. He slams the door shut with authority. The emotion all comes out, what a historic moment. That was the longest putt made by any player all week.
Scott and burns finish up at 18. A great run by Adam all week, the 44-year-old signs for 79.
10:05 am: Hovland hits it in an identical spot to Spaun. What a dream for the American, he will get an exact read from Hovland.
10:00 am: Spaun has a massive putt for birdie. Par is certainly no guarentee...
Ortiz and Hatton finish up at +3.
9:57 am: Spaun has hit the two drives of his life, finds the fairway at 18. His heart will be racing.
9:55 am: Spaun's eagle putt slides by, he cleans up the birdie to take the lead. Par at 18 will win the U.S Open. Burns makes bogey to go to +4, Scott makes double. This has become Spaun's to lose.
9:50 am: JJ Spaun, take a bow. He drives the green on 17 and has an eagle putt from 15-feet.
If this goes to extra holes it will be tomorrow the USGA have announced.
Scott has unravelled, the same is happening to Burns. The final pairing have been handed a beating at the hands of Oakmont.

9:45 am: They are falling like dominoes at Oakmont! Scott makes bogey, Hatton is in a trouble over on 17. MacIntyre could win this in regulation!
9:40 am: Burns can only advance his ball slightly. He is in a wrath of trouble at 15.
Scott catches the edge of the cup for his birdie and it picks up speed to roll out about six-feet, tricky one coming back.
Burns can't make his bogey putt. He drops to +3, and looks infuriated.
9:35 am: The Scotsman, MacIntyre has a putt on 18 to get into the clubhouse at even-par, he leaves it short, he makes his par. He is the new clubhouse leader at +1.
Burns gets two different opinions on his wet lie on the fairway. He didn't get granted relief and misses the green way left. Not sure that was a fair ruling. Scott is safely aboard the green.
9:25 am: MacIntyre makes birdie at 17 to get to +1. Spaun misses his par putt on 15.
9:15 am: JJ Spaun makes another big putt to take the lead! He shot 40 on the front nine!! This is chaos. Ortiz makes double at 15 to fall back to +3.
Scheffler makes bogey on 18. He joins Rahm at +4 as the joint-clubhouse leader.
Scott misses another drive to the right and is completely boned in the face of the bunker, he will have to play out sideways. Burns is in a divot on the fairway. The U.S Open is the gift that keeps on giving.
Burns hits a fantastic golf shot, he will have six-feet for birdie. Scott could only advance his ball about five metres into another very average lie. He plays a great shot to get it on the green and have a chance for par.
Scott leaves his par putt short, taps in for bogey, a fairly solid result from where he was. Burns misses! par for the American.
9:05 am: Great par save from MacIntyre at 15 to remain at +2.
Burns and Scott will trade pars at 13.
9:00 am:

8:55 am: Spaun makes a bomb on 12 to get back to one-over. It is all happening at Oakmont. The American has a great chance for birdie at the par-3 13th.
Scott will have 18-feet for birdie at 12. Burns will have eight-feet to save par and misses. Scott misses his birdie putt.
There is a five-way tie at the top.
Jon Rahm is in the clubhouse at +4 and he certainly won't be packing his bags. That could get him in a play-off at this rate.
8:45 am: There are so many possibilities here. Robert MacIntyre is at +3 and Scottie Scheffler is at +4. They are still right in this.
Scott finds more trouble off the tee, Burns also misses the fairway but his lie is fine.
Ortiz is looking like the form player on the course at the moment, he has had two birdie putts slide by on his last two holes.
Hatton makes birdie to match Scott and Ortiz at one-over. While MacIntyre makes birdie at 14 to get to two-over.
8:35 am: Scott finds a way to advance it, but not far. He will have a very tricky bogey putt. Burns hits one long and then his fourth rolls through the green. Absolute carnage unfolding in the final group.
Burns has a short putt left for double, you'd expect he makes it. Scott makes his bogey. That is HUGE for the Aussie. There is not a single player under par at the U.S Open.

8:25 am: The rain is back, the course is taking on plenty of water. Burns drive found a divot and looks like a bit of a nightmare lie. Scott is safely in the fairway.
Burns finds trouble again with his second, nestled in the rough on the lip of the greenside bunker, struggle to see how he will have a stance here - very awkward. Scott airmails the green and is in strife himself, this is not good at all! The weather is causing havoc. It sounds like another delay isn't far away.
8:15 am: Scott leaves it on the lip! He has had so many of those this week. Burns converts his birdie putt - his first of the day.
Hovland has a good look for birdie at 11 to get back to one-over.

8:10 am: Burns hits one tight on 10, Scott finds the green but will have a long try for birdie.
8:05 am: It'll be bogey for Burns and Par for Scott. The gap is just one.
8:00 am: Scott takes a free drop in the rough and gets a bit of a smelly lie. he misses the green to the right. Burns spins one off the green and will be chipping for par.
7:55 am: Real trouble for Burns off the 9th tee, the American finding the thick, dense rough on the left and punches out sideways.
Scott sprays his drive right but gets lucky and finds the walkway, he is talking to a rules official about some kind of relief.
Hovland has bogeyed his last two to fall back to two-over for the tournament.
7:50 am: Scott drew a shocking lie in the rough and cannot make his par putt. Burns gets up and down for his par. He leads by two and is the only man under par.
7:38 am: The players are back out on the golf course and play is underway! Scott misses the green to the right on the 8th.
7:21 am: Players are out on the range, the rain has stopped. The course has improved and the pros should be back out there in 15-20 minutes. Daylight could be an issue though, still 11 holes left to go and just under three hours of light left.
6:55 am: There are no more concerns of lightning in the area. The ground staff are actively attempting to get all the water off the course. If the course is deemed playable the players will be sent back out. Still rain around, but not as heavy as it was 20 minutes ago.
6:45 am: The rain is coming down again at Oakmont, the players have been moved into the clubhouse. Hard to see anything other than a lengthy delay here.
6:30 am: The rain has eased slightly, but thunderstorms are on the radar. The course is still relatively waterlogged. There is some discussion about potentially getting the players out within the next hour, but that would be unlikely if the forecast storms roll in.

6:00 am: Scott leaves his long birdie putt in the jaws at 7, he and Burns trade pars. The rain is really coming down at Oakmont. Greens are flooding up ahead, the horn has sounded and play will be suspended.
5:50 am: Scott makes a very sloppy bogey on 6 after a great iron shot into the par-3. He left his putt short and failed to convert the testing eight-footer for par. Burns makes a routine par. He steals back the lead.

5:30 am: Welcome back to our live coverage of the final day of the U.S Open.
The leaders have all got off to a shaky start. Adam Scott bogeyed two of his opening three holes before getting back on track with a birdie at 4. Sam Burns is two-over for the day, JJ Spaun has had a torrid start at five-over through six holes, Viktor Hovland bounced back with a birdie on 5 but he is also one over for the day.
Behind them, Tyrell Hatton is looking the main danger. The Englishman is sitting at one-over for the tournamet and is even-par on Championship Sunday.
