New Zealand's Kazuma Kobori has shot a four-under par 68 to move within one shot of the lead at the halfway point of the Turkish Open but Australia's Elvis Smylie has dropped a shot further off the lead after carding a 73.
Italy's Gregorio De Leo leads the European Tour event, and after his 68, thanked his caddie, Adam Drummond.
The Italian shot five birdies to reach seven-under, one clear of a four-strong group.
De Leo then revealed his late arrival in Turkey had prevented him from playing out the course in advance.
"It's kind of tricky because I got here on Wednesday, so I didn't even have a practice round," he said.
"I didn't know how the course was playing, so I'm really glad that my caddy, Adam, helped me out.
"He was driving me around the course because I didn't know anything about it. But it has worked out.
Joining Kobori on six under are England's Sam Bairstow, Sweden's Jens Dantorp and Spaniard Alejandro del Rey.
Smylie is equal 23rd on -2 with David Micheluzzi, the other Australian in the field at Antalya, one-over after also shooting a 73.
