Kelly carded a composed 2-under 70 in the final round to finish clear of Percy and lift the Senior Claret Jug for the first time, securing his 14th PGA TOUR Champions victory.

The 59-year-old's triumph also earns him a place in the field for the 2027 Open Championship at St Andrews.

"To do it in Scotland at the home of golf and to actually win and get into the home of golf at St Andrews, I mean, I'm absolutely speechless,” Kelly told Sky Sports.

Percy entered the final round tied for the lead after opening with superb rounds of 63 and 68 but was unable to replicate that scoring over the weekend, failing to break 70 in either of the final two rounds.

Despite the disappointment, the Victorian produced another strong showing on the senior circuit, contending all week before finishing second behind Kelly.

For Kelly, the victory delivered the championship he had long coveted, adding the Senior Open title to an already impressive career on the over-50s tour.
