England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff has carded a flawless seven-under 66 to be the early clubhouse leader at the Women's Australian Open.
Shadoff posted seven birdies in her morning round at Royal Adelaide to hold a one-stroke lead from South Korea's Jeongeun Lee6.
Reigning US Open champion Lee6 – the numeral an addition when she became the sixth golfer with that name on the Korean Tour – made five birdies in a seven-hole stretch in the middle of her round.
Ewart Shadoff birdied her last two holes to take the clubhouse lead from Lee6, with American duo Amy Olson and Marina Alex sharing third place at five-under.
Defending champion Nelly Korda posted four-under 69 while top-ranked Australian Minjee Lee shot three-under to be the best-placed local so far.
Fellow Australian Robyn Choi carded one-under, compatriots Katherine Kirk and Sarah Jane Smith even par, while five-time Open champion Karrie Webb, who has been battling a virus, finished one-over.
Perth's Hannah Green, who is among 15 major winners in the field, has birdied her first hole in a perfect start to her afternoon round.
