Once considered one of the gems of Gold Coast golf, Arundel Hills Country Club has been closed effective immediately, both as a golf course and the member’s country club.
Placed into administration, members were contacted by Grant Thornton to advise them of the closure and begin the process of sorting through not only what is to come of their pre-paid membership fees but even the process of retrieving clubs kept on the premises.
Undergoing an ownership change in 2016, the course was designed by American Fred Bolton and had a long held reputation for its excellent conditioning and holes played between huge stands of trees that were home to native wildlife.
Despite the notice to members, obtained by Golf Australia magazine and included below, stating “we are closing Arundel Hills Country Club effective 5pm 24 May 2022” the club’s website and booking portals remain open at this time.
