Australians Whitney Hillier and Steph Kyriacou are both poised for top-10 finishes in the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana but their chances of victory appear slim with leader Carlota Ciganda on course for a home victory.
Solheim Cup star Carlota Ciganda is at 10-under par to lead by three shots heading into the final day of the Ladies European Tour in Spain.
Hillier, followed her rounds of 72 and 70 on the first two days with a one-under 71 to be in sixth place at three-under and a shot ahead of Kyriacou, who also carded a one-under third round.
Hillier's best finish so far this season has been a tie for fifth while Kyriacou, who is tied for eighth, went into this week's season-ending event fourth in the season-long Race To Costa Del Sol rankings.
Ciganda produced a 70 to at a blustery Los Naranjos Golf Club on moving day.
Three birdies and a bogey on the back nine ensured the four-time LET winner remained at the top of the leaderboard.
"I'm very happy, I think shooting under par today was as good as shooting six-under yesterday," Ciganda told the LET website.
"I think it was a very tricky day, very windy and very tough. This course is tricky with the wind so I'm very happy with the way I handled myself and the last three holes."
Ciganda will play alongside 2021 Race to Costa del Sol champion Atthaya Thitikul in the final round, with the Thai teenager moving up to second place with a five-under round of 67.
Sweden's Maja Stark (69) and Finn Ursula Wikstrom (71) are tied for third at five-under while Spaniard Fatima Fernandez Cano slid to fifth with a 75.
