Blitz Golf is the world’s shortest golf tournament format featuring a mix of pros, elite amateurs, and celebrities across male and female competitors and founder, Simon Zybek, can’t wait to bring this series Australia wide.

Dubbed the T20 of golf, Blitz is a 10-hole golf tournament with multiple short rounds and cuts; and is breathing new life into one of the world’s most traditional sports.

“Blitz Golf has already attracted the likes of major winners Hannah Green and Ian Baker-Finch, Lucas Herbert, Peter Senior, Wade Ormsby, Nick O'Hern and many of Australia's brightest stars both male and female; with this year's fields set to be announced soon,” says Simon.

With each event lasting a maximum four hours, it’s bringing golf to new audiences with accompanying live music acts, food stalls and children’s entertainers.

Events will be played at Oxley Golf Club (Brisbane) on November 13, Eastern Golf Club (Melbourne) on December 9th, Howlong Golf Club (NSW Riverina) on December 11th, Wollongong Golf Club on December 16th and Western Australian Golf Club (Perth) on December 18th.

The top eight players in this exciting points race will qualify for the Adelaide Final to be held at North Adelaide Golf Club on Friday January 6; and will be joined by previous Blitz Golf event winners, celebrities, sponsor selections and fan selections via social media votes.

The Australian-created series has been lauded as innovative for its ability to capture interest through a fast-paced competition that is perfect for TV broadcast.

Live attendances of more than 15,000 across Blitz Golf’s history has helped the league’s steady growth, with single-day golf event attendance records continuing to be broken across the country.

Opportunities for a planned Blitz Golf International Series are expected to be announced soon, including events in the U.S. and Australasia; and with the PRO series champion being set to be invited to participate in the events within this series.
