A Monday qualifier, Australian Baddeley started the day tied third and was in the mix before two bogeys in the last four holes dropped him to a tie for sixth, three shots behind the winner.

"I played pretty well. It was difficult again today. I mean, just that double. Got the wind wrong, went too far," Baddeley said.

"I actually thought I stumped it. I thought I hit it close and it just flew like seven yards too far. But it was a tough day.

"I hit the ball really nicely overall, but disappointing just to finish with a par and a bogey."

Power claimed his second PGA Tour title after he carded a one-under 71, good enough for a 19-under total and a one-shot victory over Belgium's Thomas Detry (67).

Americans Ben Griffin (72) and Patrick Rodgers (65) tied third with Kevin Yu (70).

Seeking a fifth PGA Tour win and first since the 2016 Barbasol Championship, Baddeley shot 71 and tied with American Denny McCarty at 16-under.

The 41-year-old's best PGA Tour result since finishing joint runner-up at the 2019 Puerto Rico Open is a boost not only to his confidence levels but to his flagging ranking of No.719 in the world.

Fellow Australian Harrison Endycott (68) was two shots further back and tied 10th as he continues his impressive rookie season.

Both Baddeley and Endycott guaranteed starts at the next Tour event in Mayakoba, Mexico, by finishing in the top-10.

"Overall, a good week, first top-10 on Tour in a couple years, three years.," Baddeley said

“Game's not trending, the game's there. It's just a matter of getting starts. Great to have another start next week, a ball-striker's golf course, so I'm looking forward to that."

Power won last year at the Barbasol Championship in Kentucky, held the same week as The Open. This victory moves him to No.32 in the world. He came into Bermuda at No.48, the highest-ranked player in the field.

"This course was always going to be a tale of two sides," Power said. "I knew it was going to be hard coming in and it was. I'm delighted to get it done."
