A good warm up is essential to performance. LET player Danielle Montgomery demonstrates some drills using a GolfBand resistance band.
A good warm up is essential to performance and should ideally include dynamic warm-up movements as well as hitting balls.
The importance of flexibility to assist the body in rotational movement and gaining maximum range of movement is key to a better swing.
Simple dynamic warm up exercises, using a GolfBand resistance band, should be a part of any functional warm up routine. They will prepare the body for the functional movement of the golf swing, loosen up the body sufficiently, engage those golf specific muscles as well as raising the body temperature, in preparation for the game ahead.
Here are a few examples, demonstrated by Ladies European Tour players Danielle Montgomery and Rachel Drummond.
