I’m often asked by students “where should my head be at impact?”
At the moment of impact, your head should generally be behind the ball (i.e., closer to your back foot). This position is crucial to allow an upward strike when hitting a driver or a descending blow for irons, maximising distance and control.
But as Rob Richards reveals here, you head position will vary slightly depending on what club you have in your hand.
